Week 1 Tasks

Image A - HSC major work
I completed this set of 2 drawings over the course of a few months in year 12, using coloured and lead pencils. They both measure around 50cm x 80cm. In my artwork I wanted to explore the relationship between humanity and nature, and I drew allusions between internal organs and plants to demonstrate how we are inextricably linked with the world around us.

Image B - The Colosseum
As a true architectural masterpiece, the Colosseum not only functioned in the times of ancient rome, but also manages to adhere to today's standards, according to a recent national geographic study. When crowd stimulation software was used to calculate the evacuation time during an emergency, it was found that the evacuation procedure in the colosseum was faster than that of the birds nest olympic stadium in China.

Image C - Antique Bike
This bike belonged to my mum in the 1970's, and recently we restored it to usable condition. Due to the time in which it was built, the design features extremely low handlebars, which contributes to the aerodynamic qualities it possesses as a racing bike. At the time, it was standard to attach the gear change levers on the lower bar of the frame, which makes it difficult to use for those accustomed to contemporary bikes.

Jeff Wright - vehicle, accelerate, swift

Givenchy - drape, envelop, geometric

Cabbage, mussel butter, marrow and pomelo, at Cafe Paci in Darlinghurst.
Paci Petanen - vegetable, nourish, decadent
